Six Word Story...say that five times fast lol

"People Always Leave, What’s The Point!"

Personally I think that this is one of the most difficult ways to write. While writing a complete story is not easy you have the ability to get your point across in many ways, whereas a six word story you only have six words to play with to get the depth and the point of view across. Also, within a story there are many key points that contribute to the overall piece of writing. For example, imagery, setting, plot, characters, these are all aspects of a story that contribute to the idea that the author is trying to make and portray within the story. For a six word short story it is very difficult to get the same idea across to the reader as you would with a written short story with non-limited number of words.
Although writing a six word short stories process is not the same, to the reader, as it is in writing a short story, there is an advantage to the reader as well as the author to play upon. The six worded short story is something that could have many meanings as well as many ways in one can interpret the piece of writing. Basically, it is one`s personal imagination or experiences that are relied upon to create the plot, atmosphere, imagery, and setting. This is a great tool because while the author has a set story in mind when writing the six words that would sum everything up, the reader can take it into their own minds and lives and make it something of their own, every reader creates their own short story within a story.

The "Wanted" Child

Brian and Sarah had it all, the perfect wedding, the perfect house, well paid occupations and had all they ever wanted in life. Until one day Sarah brought up the idea that something was missing, she wanted to become a mother and have a true family, Brian expressed to Sarah that he just was not ready for a family. Sarah was devastated, All she ever wanted was a child of her own, every day she tried to convince Brian that it was a good idea…he finally gave in. Brian began thinking that a child could only bring them close together, and he was being foolish in not wanting to move to the next step of their relationship, from that moment on they were both hell bent on starting a family of their own.
A year passes, and Sarah still has not become pregnant, so they decide to see their Family doctor. After many tests Brian and Sarah took, the outcome was not good news, the doctor explained to Sarah that she had a tilted ovary and while it was not impossible it would be that much harder for her to conceive naturally. They began discussing their options with their doctor, asking many questions and asking for advice. The doctor explained to them to not give up hope but it could be years before they actually conceive on their own. Sarah and Brian continued to try but as they tried they put their name on the waiting list at an adoption agency. Much to their surprise the phone rang, not even 3 days later. There was a woman on the other end of the line explaining to Brian that they were in luck and had a newborn baby that was available for adoption if they were still interested. Sarah and Brian felt that they would not give up trying themselves to conceive but they didn’t want to give up the chance on becoming parents to a child that needed them, they felt it was a gift from God. The very next day, the couple went into the agency signed two papers and the baby was handed over to them, no questions asked. Seemed almost too good to be true and maybe it was…
Crying till all hours in the morning, dirty diapers, and all the unforeseen costs of raising a child, meant nothing to the couple because they seen it as a part of being parents, it was all worth it. As the child began to grow, so did the problems, or so it seemed. First it was little things going wrong and falling apart, furniture was falling apart, things in their home became destroyed, and their perfect home became a disaster area. While on little sleep and the new stress of becoming parents, it took a toll on Brian, he lost his job. Having very little savings left due to the unforeseen costs of parenthood and the replenishment of their home, Brian and Sarah were forced to sell their home and move into a slum neighborhood.
Several years pass and nothing had seemed to change, their happy family seemed to be falling apart, as did the rest of their lives, day by day something else would happen. Sarah began to reflect back on everything that has happened in the past couple of years and how it affected her family. She began to realize that it all began when they adopted their son and every devastating situation that has been happening to them never, ever affected their child in any way, shape or form, but he was always there and in some way a part of it all. Sarah called Brian right away, sobbing to him trying to explain her realization. While Brian at first thought she was crazy, her assumptions and accusations seem to fit in some way. Sarah gasped in fear as she hung up the phone; she turned around and noticed her child peering at her through a window in the porch with an evil smile on his face. She walked outside and began to start her gardening for the day to take her mind off things until Brian had got home.
Brian returned home later that evening and they both talked while their son lay in bed asleep. They decided that they would flee the home and live with Brian’s parents up North until they figure everything out. They knew it wasn’t right and that a lot of people would question why they did what they did but for their own safety and well-being they needed to get away from this child.
Brian and Sarah got out safe and sound, on the road to his parent’s house they truly believed they were in the clear, they were free of all devastation that this child at stowed upon their lives.
Brian’s parents were expecting their sons and daughter in laws arrival and were up late watching the news. (TV in background) ”BREAKING 12:00 NEWS: a couple found dead in their car, Identified as Brian and Sarah Samuelson, no evidence of other cars being involved, the accident is under investigation, police are saying the couples child is missing and that it seems to be an investigation for the homicide department. ” ...

My Little Piece of Heaven

1. The sky was illuminated that morning, even when the rays of sunlight hid in behind the marshmallow clouds, there was still a glow. I walk along the beach passing all of the smiling and happy travellers that were on their family vacations, all lying on bright blue beach chairs that lined the warm golden sand that decorated the shoreline. The breeze was thick and warm; it slipped smoothly through your fingers, toes and hair as you walked against it, a freeing feeling really, refreshing.  Closing my eyes as the breeze swept across my bronzed face, I listened to the symphony of the ocean. The rhythmic pattern of the waves comforted me like a warm blanket had been wrapped around me in the middle of a winter snowstorm. Sweet and bitter smell of salt brushed itself across my face, I take a deep breath, and it fills my lungs like a newly lit cigarette, harsh but too good to be true. I stop myself and looked and listen to the many sights and sounds of the beach. The water was a see through blue green color that seemed endless, the waves crashed against the rocks with great force, proving its power to the world. Every flaw and mistake had been diminished by the powerful tide that crept toward the shoreline, bringing it back to perfection. I sat myself on a rock filling my palms with sand and watching it slip through my fingers, it was like silk against my skin, exfoliating my flaws. The tide crept up onto my feet, my toes wiggle against the waves, and I was being cleansed. Taking deep breaths and enjoying the moment of rebirth in the sand I believed that I was in my happy place, a place where flaws never mattered, and where every wave, every, breeze, and with every grain in the sand meant new beginnings.
2. The first thing you see is the white sand, the second would be the turquoise water that meets the shore. The weather is consistent, clean and warm; the smell of salt fills the entire shoreline. Couples, families and singles are all grouped together enjoying the sun, water, and festivities. The breeze is warm and cool and refreshing and goes for miles as does the beach itself. There is fun and freedom affiliated with the beach.

I was a bit confused about this blog and how you wanted it to be written but I like the florid description because you can take any aspect of the subject and make it your own. In any situation there are different things about it that appeal to our senses so it is nice to be able to describe that. I found the stark description to be quite hard to do because I just found myself wanting to “over-write” or be “over-descriptive”. I love being able to express myself through my writing and I find being extra descriptive creates expressive imagery to the reader, capturing exactly how the author had felt at the time.

"A Paper Life" By Tatum O'Neal Book Review

Oscar winning, childhood star, Tatum O’neal reveals her not so glamorous upbringing in the tell-all book “A Paper Life”. Being the daughter of Hollywood star Ryan O’neal  and actress Joanna Moore, one would think she lead a fabulous and spoiled lifestyle but as her biography exposes is a life filled with loneliness and abuse.  Tatum dealt with abandonment, drug abuse, molestation, and physical and verbal abuse. And the cycle seemed to repeat itself during her rocky six-year marriage to professional athlete John McEnroe. The loneliness and worthlessness she felt her entire life lead her to a downward spiral doused in drug and alcohol addiction.  Having grown up watching her parents in the spotlight and in the spotlight herself, she claims to have been alone and neglected as her parents chose doing drugs and abusing alcohol instead of parenting and being a part of the family. Tatum describes many situations in her book about neglect, abuse, drugs, alcohol and molestation which all lead to her own demise, and the continuing cycle into her very own family built with Jon McEnroe. It wasn’t until Tatum’s own daughter caught her shooting heroin in a bathroom that she decided to change and see what she was doing. So much pain and suffering and with several trips to rehab throughout the years lead Tatum O’neal to a sober lifestyle today.
A Paper Life is a riveting, cautionary tale, like any biography, the reader questions whether these situations could truly happen to one person in such a short amount of time. Having said that, it’s like looking at a bad car crash, you cannot look away. This book is a definite page turner and keeps the reader in suspense and on edge. Sadness, pity and shock is feelings that’s arise out of the reader while reading this book, but also hopeful, hopeful that these experiences create a better person  and mother and overall better life for her and her family in the end.

A NEW ENDING BRINGS NEW BEGINNINGS!

Gavin holds Stacey close and cherishes the moment of picturing their future as a mother and father, looks at Stacey and smiles…
Gavin: I can’t believe this is happening, never though the doctors would be wrong…
Stacey replies with a huge smile on her face while rubbing her stomach…
Stacey: everything happens for a reason Gav, and we’re meant to be parents
Gavin: the best parents this child could ever ask for!
Gavin and Stacey smile at each other kiss and hold each other close
Stacey: I can’t wait to tell Ness!
Gavin: I can’t wait to tell Smithy!
They each look at their cells and then at each other puzzled as to why they have not heard from them and where they both could be. Scene ends.
Next scene starts, with Smithy down on one knee and Ness holding baby Neil
Smithy: you repulse me, I repulse you…
Ness interrupts
Ness: fair play…
Smithy: but we have this connection, this spark that cannot be ignored, and we have him (touches the back of his hand off Neil’s cheek)
A hidden smile wipes over Ness’ face
Smithy: I want us to be a family, a real family, and Ness I want to be the one to call you my wife
Ness Looks at Smithy not knowing what to say
Ness: Smithy…
Smithy: there is no one like us Nessa, what’d ya say?
With a big smile on her face…
Ness: Fair Play!
Smithy gets up and hugs into Ness and gives baby Neil a kiss on the forehead.
They both look at their phone and look at each other and smile, knowing they both received texts from their best friends Gavin and Stacey.
Scene ends with Smithy texting Gavin saying to meet at the pub.
New scene begins with Ness, Smithy and baby Neil waiting at a table at the local pub and Gavin and Stacey entering the doors in a hurry with excitement.
Smithy: GAVA-LA!!!
WHILE BOTH DOING THE ROBOT TOWARDS EACHOTHER
Gavin: SMITH-STA!!!!!
Stacey runs over to Ness and gives her and baby Neil a hug and kiss, while reaching for Ness’ hand to place on Stacey’s belly, she feels the ring on Ness’ finger and looks up at her with great surprise
Stacey: NESS???? You’re engaged???
Smithy and Gavin look at each other and give each other a big hug while Stacey is jumping with excitement.
Stacey: AND WE’RE PREGNANT!
Everyone begins to cheer with excitement and hug and kiss, they begin to banter about future plans about the baby and the wedding. Nessa interrupts..
Ness: OY! Whats occurin??? Im starving!
Smithy: That’s why I love her!
They all laugh and the waiter comes over to take their order, everyone is happy and smiling and discussing their future plans.
Drinks arrive and they all raise their glass, make a joke about Stacey’s drink being virgin cocktail and cheer. Smithy raises his glass
Smithy: to love
Ness raises her glass
Ness: to family
Gavin raises his glass
Gavin : my balls work!
Stacey: to miracles!
Everyone laughs and carries on with chatting, scene fades out.

Waking Beauty

Every morning awoke to your overlooking grin

Sincere, genuine, affection and love your eyes possessed
As your hand swept the hair off my cheek and slid down across my chin

My awaking eyes met yours, a moment I truly felt blessed

My soul mate, my lover my very best friend
Wet my lips; graze my skin, your touch, my body quivers
I vow I promise I declare myself and my heart till the end
A love so strong, so solid, body constantly in shivers

Peering through the glass, losing hope of seeing you again
Walking away, looking over, tears hitting the floor
I knew in my heart us and our love would always remain
Awaiting return, even family, oh how adore

hurt still                                                                                lingers
essence officially                                                              closed
bare                                                                                       fingers
sealed signed delivered , sincerely heart enclosed.
